ABOUT US

For 30 years, Penumbra Vintage Photographs has operated on Summer Street in Edgartown, Massachusetts. Eugene Goldfield, the owner of the store, has been an avid collector of vintage photographs for years, hunting for and collecting unique images during the winter months for his seasonal gallery. 

Mr. Goldfield attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, graduating in 1974 with a BFA. Upon graduation, he worked in print making and sculpture before transitioning to photography curation and sales. Mr. Goldfield previously has worked for William L. Schaeffer Photographs in Chester, Connecticut as well as the yearly AIPAD photography show in Manhattan.
